Simple plans, priced for Africa

Sendbaze is not yet VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged and the listed price is what you pay. Once we register, 15% VAT will be added on top of list prices with 30 days' notice; most customers are VAT-registered businesses and reclaim it.

One segment. A GSM-7 message up to 160 characters is one segment; longer messages are split at 153 characters per segment. Emoji or non-Latin characters switch the message to UCS-2, where a segment is 70 characters. The API returns the segment count before you are billed. Transactional and marketing SMS cost the same per segment.

Sends draw first on your plan's included allowance, then on your wallet balance, then on overage at your plan's rate if you have a saved card and are within your spend cap. On the Free plan sends stop with a clear error and an upgrade link, so a runaway loop can never surprise you with a bill. You get an email and a dashboard banner at 50%, 80% and 100% of any allowance.

Yes, with no subscription. Top up a rand wallet (minimum R100) and pay R15 per 1,000 emails and R0.29 per SMS segment. Top-ups of R1,000 or more earn 5% bonus rand, R5,000 or more 10%. Optional auto top-up refills the wallet when it drops below a threshold you set.

A wallet balance is valid for 12 months from your last top-up, and SMS packs for 12 months from purchase. Unused monthly plan allowances do not roll over. Refunds follow the Terms of Service.

Card through Paystack, billed monthly in rand on the first day of each cycle. Pay-as-you-go wallets can also be topped up by EFT. Annual billing gives you 2 months free. Enterprise customers pay by invoice. A plan is activated once the payment is confirmed. Every payment comes with a PDF invoice by email, in your organisation's currency. If a renewal fails we email you at once, try the card again after 12 hours and email again if that fails; if it is still unpaid 24 hours after the first failure the plan is paused and the organisation moves to Free, and you can restore it from the Billing page whenever you pay. Unpaid usage beyond the allowance pauses live sending after the same 24 hours, while test keys keep working.

OTP-pumping fraud targets free SMS credits. A quick R10 card check stops that without slowing down real developers; the R10 is credited to your wallet, not lost. The 50 free SMS are a once-off: when they are used, further SMS need a wallet top-up or a paid plan.

At launch SMS delivers to South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Eswatini. Included plan SMS apply to South African numbers; other countries are charged from your wallet at that country's per-segment rate. Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and more East and West African countries follow in v1.1. Email delivers worldwide on every plan.

Yes. Email works worldwide today and international Visa, Mastercard and Amex cards are accepted. You are charged in rand and your bank converts. This page shows an estimate in your own currency for most African countries, and in US dollars everywhere else; use the currency selector above the plans to change it. Books, invoices and wallets are kept in rand.
